Security Officer - Badge Verification

About the role

Join Allied Universal at a busy retail distribution location where you will help manage access control, monitor entry points, and support security-related operations with professionalism and care.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or drivers by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, screen visitors and/or deliveries, and document arrivals, departures, and unusual activity in support of security-related operations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through proper channels and assisting with traffic flow and/or dock access as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, perimeter, parking areas, and shipping/receiving zones to help to deter unauthorized access and support site rules.

Requirements

• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Skills
