Security Officer - Badge Specialist

As a Security Officer Badge Verification Specialist in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, vendors, and/or employees while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Screens individuals, vehicles, packages, and/or materials entering or leaving the location in accordance with post orders and shipping or receiving protocols.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify access credentials, and report unusual activity that could help to deter unauthorized access or loss.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, observing operational areas such as loading, unloading, and shipping or receiving zones.

Requirements

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Minimum age requirement for unarmed roles: 18 years old.
• Minimum age requirement for armed roles: 21 years old.

Skills

• Access control and badge experience.
• Customer service experience.
• Computer or tablet proficiency.
• Loss prevention experience.
• The ability to lift more than 20 lbs.
