About the role
The award-winning Westgate Park City Resort & Spa offers a dynamic and rewarding work atmosphere. As a Security Officer, you help keep the resort safe, secure, and welcoming.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the first responder to police, fire, and medical incidents within the scope of Security Officer duties.
- Maintain a visible, uniformed security presence across assigned resort areas.
- Control access at designated entry and exit points.
- Monitor security systems, including surveillance cameras and fire alarm panels, in compliance with legal and company requirements.
- Conduct routine safety and security inspections following established procedures.
- Maintain accurate security records, logs, and checklists.
- Prepare clear, timely, and detailed incident reports using computer systems and email.
- Aid guests and team members with security related concerns and service requests.
- Manage lost and found inventory, key control, and accountability.
- Perform traffic control, parking enforcement, assist public safety officers, and complete other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, military, or a related field is preferred (minimum of 1 year), but not required.
- Certificates in First Aid, CPR and AED highly preferred but not required.
- Prior hospitality or guest service experience strongly preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with basic computer systems used to complete reports, logs, and email communication.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure or emergency situations.
- Excellent judgment, integrity, and attention to detail.
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must be able to lift 50lbs.
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Required to pass a background check, drug test and motor vehicle record (MVR) check.
- Required to provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
- Requires physical stamina and the ability to work indoors and outdoors, remain on your feet for extended periods, climb stairs, and move quickly for short distances as needed.
