Security Officer
Patrol and Monitoring
Casino security officers patrol the grounds or stationed at static positions to protect the casino's property from vandalism, theft, and other illegal activity. They monitor surveillance equipment, inspect buildings, equipment, and access points, and control access to ensure proper identification.
Officers are responsible for reporting irregularities, informing violators of policies and procedures, and restraining trespassers if necessary. They respond to potential hazards and serious emergencies, such as medical incidents, fires, crimes, and minor injuries, by securing the scene and assisting in redirecting foot traffic to safe locations.
Reporting and Documentation
Security officers complete reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities. They interview witnesses and obtain signatures as needed.
