Security Officer

About the role

Provides a visual and physical deterrent to crime on the hospital campus while promoting a good customer service relationship with patients, visitors, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provides 24-hour electronic and physical observation of the hospital campus to ensure a secure working environment for all patients, visitors, and staff.
• Ensures compliance with all hospital safety and security policies and procedures on a day-to-day basis.

Qualifications

• Education Requirement: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Professional Experience Requirement: Three years of experience in security, civilian/military law enforcement, or an equivalent military career field.
• Licensure/Registration/Certification: Valid North Carolina Driver License required. Basic Law Enforcement Training Certification (BLET) preferred, but not required.
• Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Officers must possess minimal proficiency in typing text, answering telephones, interviewing people, filing information, and accomplishing various administrative tasks.
