Security Officer.

Duties

• Manage the ATEC Security Guard Force to provide security and protective measures.
• Evaluate program to correct problems, schedule slippages, or increased costs.
• Provide strategic direction for the resolution of mission-critical problems, policies, and procedures.
• Identify and resolve highly complex problems that cross organizational boundaries and promulgates solutions.
• Execute short and long-range goals and objectives for various security programs.
• Oversee multiple security programs.
• Responsible for the oversight and direction of the Command's Intelligence Program.
• Represent meetings on issues relating to intelligence analysis and production.

Requirements

This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. This position is subject to drug testing, pre-employment screening, and random testing thereafter. A one-year probationary period is required, unless previously completed.

Specialized Experience: Experience performing (1) developing and implementing policies and procedures for a variety of security, intelligence oversight, and protection programs, such as Information Security (INFOSEC), Personnel Security (PERSEC), Physical Security, and Operations Security (OPSEC); and (2) providing technical guidance and advisory services to leadership on security-related issues and making recommendations to resolve complex security problems. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-03/GS-13).

• Salary includes applicable locality pay or Local Market Supplement. The salary for this position will be set no higher than $197,200 including locality.
• Permanent Change of Station (PCS) allowances may be authorized, subject to provisions of the Joint Travel Regulations and agency determination.
• Relocation incentive may be authorized.
• Telework is situational as determined by Command agency policy.
• Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from the Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees.
