Security Officer

Essential Key Job Responsibilities

• Conducts Initial investigations and appropriate followup for security incidents and writes a security report documenting all findings
• Conducts proactive foot and vehicle patrols of the entire campus to include all floors and buildings
• Responds to all radio calls for a variety of services to include but not limited to: escorts, property pick-up, disturbances, standby’s and emergency calls
• Ability to deescalate and maintain control in security situations
• Stays current on all required training to include De-escalation Training and required computer competencies
• Receives mandatory health screenings and vaccines
• Consistently monitors CCTV activities in the security control room when required
• Is able to run access control system to include giving clearances and locking of doors

Qualifications

• Maintains a high level of professionalism and integrity in all interactions with team members, visitors and patients
• Follows department dress code
• Offers assistance and provide direction to visitors, patients, and staff as needed
• Communicate with incoming shift regarding unsolved situations or assignments
• Dissimulate information accurately and distribute to appropriate recipients
• Uses tact, courtesy, sound judgment and a professional attitude when relating to patients, families, physicians, team members and other employees
