Security Officer
Brief Description
Stuller's Security team identifies and reports incidents to ensure the safety of company assets, associates, visitors, and property. They conduct facility tours, inspect fire control equipment, maintain order, and enforce regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Patrol premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion, ensuring security of doors, windows, and gates.
- Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances.
- Operate metal detection equipment to screen individuals, preventing pilferage and restricted items from entering secure areas.
- Conduct internal investigations of incidents on company property.
- Track and inspect company products or property leaving company facilities.
- Write incident reports on property damage, theft, unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
- Conduct audits to verify accuracy of records and compliance with policies and procedures.
- Compile audit findings and recommend improvements to systems and procedures.
- Administer first aid for minor injuries and refer serious cases for advanced medical treatment.
- Perform security and safety audits at satellite facilities, documenting findings and corrective action recommendations.
- Respond to associates' requests for service or assistance in both work and non-work-related situations.
Basic Qualifications
- A high school diploma and college degree or 5 years of related experience.
- Completion of a certified law enforcement training academy or military police academy.
- Must always carry a weapon.
- Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures.
- Basic computer skills.
- Strong integrity in business practices and interpersonal interactions.
- Experience in security audits and investigative procedures.
- Knowledge of emergency response and crisis management.
- Strong report-writing and analytical skills.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive screening process, including:
- Background investigation in compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
- Drug screening (as permitted by law).
- Psychiatric evaluation to assess mental fitness and role suitability.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a corporate security or law enforcement role.
Physical Requirements
- Must be physically fit and capable of performing security duties.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift objects as required.
- Applicants will undergo a physical assessment to evaluate fitness for the role.
Work Schedule
1:30pm- 10:30pm, Monday - Friday
