SECURITY OFFICER
About the role
Stonington Institute, a division of Universal Health Services, Inc. (UHS), has an immediate opening for a Security Officer. Stonington Institute provides substance abuse treatment options for adults in Southeastern Connecticut and surrounding areas, including medical detox and residential addictions treatment for active duty and retired military service members.
Responsibilities
- Attend shift report meetings at the beginning of each shift.
- Maintain surveillance of all buildings and grounds.
- Enforce rules and regulations, including enforcing curfew.
- Inspect windows, doors, and locks to ensure they are secure.
- Check outside grounds for trespassers or unauthorized activity.
- Ensure company vehicles are locked and secure.
- Complete necessary documentation, such as rounds checklists and HPRs.
- Report incidents and contraband found during shifts, including detailed documentation.
Requirements
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Previous security or safety officer experience is preferred.
