Security Officer

About the role

The Security Officer position at Cabell Huntington Hospital seeks candidates with a strong commitment to protecting patients, visitors, and employees. The ideal candidate will have past experience in security, law enforcement, or the military, basic computer skills, excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, and basic first aid knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Monitor hospital premises and grounds for signs of criminal activity
• Respond to alarms and emergencies as needed
• Interact with patients, visitors, and staff to ensure safety and security
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures
• Perform routine patrols of the hospital and surrounding areas
• Assist with special events and functions as needed

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to pass a background check
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills (typing, keyboarding, and/or using a mouse)
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Good writing and communication skills
• Basic First Aid knowledge (preferred)

$20.00 - $25.00 per hour based on experience

Schedule
