About the role
Samaritan's Purse is seeking Security Officers to serve at our Aurora, Colorado, location. In this role, you will have the opportunity to use your skills and experience to help protect the safety and well-being of people, property, and ministry operations at the Aurora site. Responsibilities
- Maintain a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and be a consistent witness for Jesus Christ
- Maintain a Professional Security Presence: Always conduct yourself as a security professional, maintaining a visible, welcoming presence that helps deter undesirable activity and supports a safe ministry environment
- Protect Campus Access and Safety: Screen pedestrian and vehicular traffic, control access during non-business hours, and open, close, and secure buildings according to established schedules and procedures
- Monitor and Respond to Security Concerns: Conduct regular physical patrols and monitor video surveillance, alarms, access-control systems, and other security equipment to identify potential threats, hazardous conditions, or unauthorized activity
- Support Staff, Visitors, and Emergency Response: Greet staff and visitors whenever practical, remain familiar with Samaritan's Purse facilities, policies, and safety procedures, and promptly notify law enforcement or follow emergency call-in procedures when situations require
- Document and Communicate: Accurately record noteworthy activity, security concerns, and incidents in shift logs or appropriate reports, helping protect people and property while supporting Samaritan's Purse's mission of serving others in Jesus' Name

Requirements
- Basic Law Enforcement Training and minimum 3 years' experience as a Law Enforcement Officer or equivalent, required
- Must be eligible to complete and pass any required training and certifications
- Basic keyboarding and computer skills, strongly preferred
- Motivated self-starter; sees a need and takes initiative
- Trustworthy and mature
- Patient when tasks are routine, but quick on their feet to respond to a crisis
- Fluency in English is required

Pay
$25–$28 per hour (range may vary in markets outside of Colorado)
