Security Officer

Job Description The Security Department requires Security Officers at the Elandsfontein Branch who will be responsible for the below security tasks: Ensure access and egress is controlled at all SA Metal properties by completing the necessary registers and operating the gates.Searching pedestrians, vehicles and personal belongings of any person(s) exiting SA Metal premises.Ensure that all customers and visitors are issued with PPE when entering a SA Metal yard and that the PPE is returned after their visitEnsure that any item(s) leaving the SA Metal premises is accompanied by the relevant documentationEnsure that all company procedures are adhered to before granting access to staff and visitors e.g. breathalyzer tests are conducted and passed.Ensure that all the assigned areas are patrolled at regular intervals.Ensure that all Company policies and procedures are fully adhered to at all times.Observe and report suspicious activities.Keep the Incident Report Book up to date.Ensure that empty and full Containers/Bins are booked in and out and securedEnsure that SA Metal’s property and assets are protectedEnsure that all persons on SA Metal premises are protectedAd-hoc tasks as per instruction from management Qualifying Experience Grade 12Grade C, PSIRA registered2 to 3 years relevant experience QUALIFYING ATTRIBUTES Hardworking and self-motivatedEffective communication skills – verbal and writtenTime management and organizational skillsDisplay a professional work approachWilling to work extended hoursGood customer service skills We regret that it is not possible to contact all unsuccessful applicants.
