Security Officer

About the Role

As a Security Officer at Accor, you will ensure the safety and security of guests, employees, and property across the facility. You will maintain vigilance, respond to incidents, and uphold the hotel’s standards while contributing to a supportive and dynamic team environment. Responsibilities

• Ensure the life and property safety of people in your area of duty.
• Greet guests, provide information and guidance, and bid them farewell.
• Organize human and vehicle traffic and facilitate communication between the facility and individuals.
• Maintain constant vigilance during day and night shifts, gather information, and report to respective personnel.
• Respond to incidents such as fires, sabotages, injuries, and fights, and report them to the appropriate authorities.
• Be respectful, moderate, and polite to managers, seniors, and colleagues.
• Pass on all relevant information to the next security officer during shift changes.
• Inform the Security Supervisor of all developments and events in your area of responsibility.
• Familiarize yourself with procedures to catch and detain criminals.
• Maintain and ensure the proper functioning of security devices and equipment (e.g., walkie-talkies, detectors, telephones).
• Respond to bomb or suspicious package threats by informing your supervisor and securing the area.
• Participate in Emergency Response Teams.
• Maintain cleanliness, order, and neatness in your shift area.
• Keep accurate logs and records, ensuring proper signatures are collected.
• Monitor the entry and exit of furniture and equipment for maintenance and repairs, and maintain records.
• Protect hotel guests from external factors that may cause inconvenience.
• Gather and report information to seniors without disclosing it to third parties.
• Write detailed incident reports, including information about the involved parties, location, time, and consequences.
• Ensure employees use ID cards for entry and exit, and report any violations to your supervisor.
• Monitor the facility’s surroundings and report suspicious persons or vehicles to your supervisor.
• Use communication tools (e.g., walkie-talkie, telephone) appropriately while on duty.
• Comply with shift change rules to ensure smooth transitions.
• Ensure security around areas where explosive or combustible agents are used for entertainment.
• Engage in self-development opportunities to improve performance.
• Address problems and shortcomings identified during inspections and report any needs.
• Participate in environmental sustainability efforts, including waste reduction, energy conservation, and biodiversity protection.
• Implement quality management systems as required by the facility.
• Perform additional duties assigned by managers or hotel management.

Requirements

• At least a high school diploma.
• Minimum of 2 years of work experience in a related field; industry experience is an asset.
• Prior attendance in courses or seminars related to security is beneficial.
• Basic proficiency in using job-related tools and equipment.
• Ability to perform simple, specific, and standard tasks, often repetitive in nature.
