About the role
Serve and protect the guests, staff and physical assets of Palisades Tahoe, while maintaining the Company service standards, safety policies and procedures.
Employment may be subject to a job-related background check, as permitted by company policy and procedure.
Responsibilities
- Provides a safe environment for staff and guests 24 hours a day.
- Patrols the Resort and provide protection to all guests and employees.
- Always be visible and accessible, watching for criminal activity, violations of the Courtesy Code, and assisting guests.
- Checks doors and windows of buildings to ensure they are tightly closed and locked; notes unlocked doors/windows in the Daily Log; submits information to supervisors and managers.
- Transports guests and staff as needed.
- Unlocks and/or locks doors as requested by appropriate staff.
- Identifies safety hazards and either remedies the problem or reports to Risk/Safety Manager.
- Responds to alarms and dispatched calls; decides what actions to take based on situation, facts known and position limitations.
- Maintains comprehensive Daily Log.
- Interacts with fire department and law enforcement as required and assists all departments when necessary.
- Completes accurate and thorough incident reports.
Requirements
- Knowledge of basic security and fire inspection procedures.
- Able to follow all policies and procedures contained in Security Manual.
- Effective communication skills, oral & written.
- Strong sense of customer service & safety awareness.
- Able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Have a neat & clean appearance in compliance with the company grooming standards.
- Punctual, able to report at scheduled start time in all weather conditions.
- Work well as part of a team.
- Skill in observing situations and decision making.
- Able to work with minimum supervision.
- Effectively communicate with people in potentially stressful situations.
- High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
Job Requirements
- 21 years of age
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Drivers License and clean driving record
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
- A valid California Security License issued by the BSIS (Preferred)
- Basic CPR/AED and first aid training (Preferred)
- One year security experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience (Preferred)
