Security Officer
Qualifications
- High School/GED
- Current State Drivers License
- BLS (American Heart Association) certification within 90 days of hire
- International Association for Healthcare Safety and Security Certified Healthcare Security Officer (CHSO) within 1 year of hire
- National Incident Management System (NIMS) within 1 year of hire
- Active FOID Card
- Service with a police department or active military, military reserves or National Guard, and/or 1 year security experience or customer service
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate's Degree
- Service with a police department or active military, military reserves or National Guard, and/or 3 years security experience
- International Association for Healthcare Safety and Security Certified Healthcare Security Officer (CHSO) Advanced Certification

Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. The expected pay range for this position is $20.21 - $23.77/hour.

About the Role
The Security Officer functions in an unarmed security post for OSF HealthCare campuses. Security officers are responsible for the safety and security within OSF HealthCare campuses by conducting unarmed patrol, monitoring alarm systems, assisting in investigations, and deterring criminal activity and misconduct.
Skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
