Security Officer

Responsibilities
- Operate security equipment such as CCTV, Intruder and Duress alarms and Access Control systems including Security Identification cards.
- Exercising duties in accordance with Security legislation in regard to providing Security or the apprehension of absconding patients, participating in restraint whilst doing so under instruction from Clinical professionals.
- Comply with authorised written and verbal instructions, policy and procedures, Values and Behavioural Charters and the NSW Health Code of Conduct and other security related duties as directed by the Security Supervisor, Security Manager and Corporate Service Managers.
- Participate in training as required by NSW Health and ensure required competencies are current.
- Be a member of the Internal Response Team and respond to emergency codes within the hospital.
- Maintain parking and smoking control and issue infringements as required.
Requirements
- Must hold current NSW Security Licence Class 1A, NSW Drivers Licence Class 'C' and a valid Senior First Aid certificate.
- Demonstrated ability to complete routine event reporting, shift logs accounting for the duration of the shifts and routine patrols, and the ability to compile thorough and concise incident reports including statements suitable for presentation in Court.
- Demonstrated ability to work flexibly and adapt to change whilst meeting work demands and operational requirements.
