Security Officer

Essential Functions

• Handle any disturbances or problems that arise during events or at the facility.
• If necessary, escort disruptive individuals to the security office and/or off the premises.
• Write incident reports and meet with the security supervisor to review procedures.
• Inspect alarms and fire extinguisher/sprinkler systems to ascertain they are set to operate.
• Inspect premises for signs of intrusion or tampering.
• Tour the facility examining doors, windows, and gates to ensure they are secured.
• Auxiliary with crowd control inside and outside the premises.
• Analyze unusual circumstances and events during a fire, storms, riots, and other emergencies.
• Answer alarms and investigate disturbances.
• Auxiliary with any security-related issues from departments.
• Work extended and/or irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
• Auxiliary with special projects within the security division.

Desired Qualifications

• Minimum of one-year related security experience and/or training.
• Demonstrate knowledge of security issues related to major sports and entertainment venues.
• A Class D License is required.
