Security Officer

About the role

This is a professional, high-accountability environment — not a sit-and-scroll post. The role involves a mix of roving patrols, gatehouse access control, and front-desk duties at a premier automotive facility.

Responsibilities

• Acknowledge and greet all residents and guests in a prompt and courteous manner
• Manage all guest/visitor access as needed and eject trespassers or violators from premises when deemed necessary
• Verify credentials of incoming and outgoing individuals/vehicles
• Document and maintain a log of visitors and notify residents of visitor’s arrival
• Assist in protecting others and equipment while enforcing policies and procedures
• Monitor and detect any suspicious behavior to assist in the prevention of vandalism, theft, or other criminal activity
• Monitor surveillance cameras and alarms
• Patrol the perimeter (interior/exterior) to identify potential safety and security risks
• Warn violators of infractions (e.g., loitering, smoking, or possession of prohibited items)
• Respond to calls of distress, alarms, or emergencies such as fire, injuries, or presence of unauthorized individuals by contacting local first responders
• Identify and report any and all concerns (safety, security breaches, unusual circumstances) in a timely manner
• Ensure accuracy and timely submission of required documentation (reports/documents)
• Ensure all rules/regulations are being enforced and followed
• Other duties to be determined by management

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older
• High school degree or equivalent
• Valid state licensing
• Minimum of one year of customer service experience
• Minimum of one year of security experience
• Must be able to pass pre-employment screening (background and drug test)
• This position will require occasional crawling, crouching, climbing of stairs, kneeling, running, sitting, standing, stooping, and walking for extended periods of time

Pay

$18.50 per hour. Officers who are available and present for every shift they commit to during the quarter are eligible for a $100 Quarterly Perfect Attendance Bonus.

Schedule

Monday through Wednesday 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM & Saturday 5:00 AM – 5:00 PM (40-hour week). Sundays, Thursdays, and Fridays off.
