Security Officer

Responsibilities
- Patrol center grounds
- Manages front desk for guest sign-in and temporary badges distribution
- Maintains that all staff and students wear ID badges
- Ensures the safety of staff, students, and visitors
- Controls, surveils, identifies, monitors, investigates, and reports on all matters pertaining to center property, facilities, students, staff, and visitors
- Answers telephone calls and greets and assists visitors
- Affirms accountability of students check-in and out according to established policies and procedures
- Assists in transporting ill or injured students as required
- Promotes, supports, and adheres to safety practices through the facility
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year’s security experience or completion of a security training program preferred
- Experience with youth, excellent written and verbal communications skills and computer proficiency required
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
