Security Officer

About the role

The Greenleigh River Oaks is an upcoming luxury hotel set to open in 2026, blending the charm of River Oaks with the energy of Uptown Houston. We are seeking a Security Officer to join our team and contribute to creating a secure and welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the property to ensure the safety and security of guests, team members, visitors, and hotel facilities.
• Conduct regular patrols of guest areas, back-of-house spaces, parking facilities, and surrounding property grounds.
• Respond promptly and professionally to security incidents, emergencies, guest requests, and safety concerns.
• Prepare accurate incident reports and maintain documentation of security-related activities.
• Assist with emergency response procedures, including evacuations and other safety protocols when necessary.
• Maintain security equipment and report any issues involving surveillance systems, alarms, or access controls.
• Provide a visible, approachable, and professional presence throughout the hotel.
• Aid guests by providing directions, responding to questions, and supporting a welcoming guest experience.
• Report unsafe conditions, suspicious activity, or maintenance concerns to hotel leadership.
• Work collaboratively with hotel departments to promote a safe and secure environment.

Requirements

• Prior experience in hotel security, hospitality, law enforcement, military service, or a related field preferred.
• Strong understanding of safety procedures and emergency response protocols.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to remain calm, professional, and composed in emergency or high-pressure situations.
• Strong attention to detail, situational awareness, and sound judgment.
• Professional, dependable, and service-oriented demeanor.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and work both indoors and outdoors as needed.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts.

Qualifications

• CPR, First Aid, or other relevant safety certifications are a plus.
