About the role

This position is per diem with variable hours. The Security Officer role is responsible for monitoring the healthcare environment to help prevent security incidents from occurring and deescalating incidents as they emerge. May provide protective services and, with sufficient training, patient restraints as deemed necessary by medical staff.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the healthcare environment to prevent security incidents
• Deescalate incidents as they occur
• Provide protective services
• May provide patient restraints as necessary

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date
• Valid Driver’s license if required at local Health System
• Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) or similar to be completed within local Health System requirements
• Completion of HIC 100, 200, and 700 if required by facility

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in hospital safety and security preferred
