Security Officer

About the role

This position consists of 40 hours per week, night shifts. The Security Officer role is responsible for monitoring the healthcare environment to help prevent security incidents from occurring and deescalating incidents as they emerge. May provide protective services and, with sufficient training, patient restraints as deemed necessary by medical staff.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring the healthcare environment to prevent security incidents
• Deescalating incidents as they occur
• Providing protective services
• Administering patient restraints as necessary

Requirements

• Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date
• Valid Driver’s license if required at local Health System
• Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) or similar training completed within local Health System requirements
• Completion of HIC 100, 200, and 700 if required by facility

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in hospital safety and security preferred
