About the Role
Join our team as a night shift, full-time Women's Hospital Security Officer in Albuquerque, NM. Responsibilities
- Provide security services for assigned facilities, personnel, property, patients, visitors, and staff through foot and vehicle patrols.
- Conduct security inspections of facilities, grounds, access points, and critical infrastructure.
- Enforce organizational policies and procedures by addressing safety and security violations (e.g., unauthorized access, loitering, smoking, prohibited items).
- Provide information, directions, assistance, and escort services to patients, visitors, and staff.
- Identify, report, and respond to safety and security concerns, emergencies, and hazards; coordinate with emergency response agencies.
- Complete reports, incident documentation, and other required records accurately and timely.
- Demonstrate accountability and ownership of assigned responsibilities; perform other duties as assigned.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external customers, actively listen, follow instructions, and share information appropriately.
- Collaborate professionally with supervisors, peers, departments, patients, visitors, and staff to support service excellence.
- Operate and monitor security technologies, including CCTV systems, protection systems, access control systems, and related equipment.
- Complete required training in de-escalation, crisis intervention, patient restraint, and patient immobilization techniques.
- Wear and maintain required duty equipment (e.g., body armor, TASER, baton, handcuffs) in accordance with department policy.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid NM Driver’s license with no DUI/DWI within the last five years.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1 year of security experience.
- Experience in a hospital environment.
