About the role
A reliable and observant Security Officer is needed to ensure the safety and security of our hotel. This position involves patrolling and monitoring the facility to prevent and respond to potential threats.
Responsibilities
- Maintain access control and monitor CCTV systems to ensure a secure environment.
- Respond to emergencies according to established procedures, prioritizing safety and property protection.
- Document security incidents and maintain detailed logs for visitor access and package handling.
- Facilitate communication with management regarding safety-related issues and ensure compliance with policies.
- Interact professionally with guests and colleagues, enhancing their experience and addressing concerns.
- Support health and safety training initiatives to foster a culture of safety and respect.
Requirements
- Previous experience in hotel security or a related field (1-3 years preferred).
- Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations.
- Basic first-aid certification or ability to administer first aid.
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree in criminal justice, security management, or a related field preferred.
- Knowledge of security systems, safety regulations, and emergency response protocols.
- Experience using CCTV systems and other security technology.
- Experience in customer service or hospitality to enhance guest interactions.
- Strong observational and problem-solving skills to identify and address security concerns.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with guests and team members.
- Proficiency in report writing and documentation for incidents and safety issues.
- Additional certifications in security training, conflict resolution, or emergency response are advantageous.
Qualifications
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Potential for limited local travel for training or inter-departmental meetings may be required.
