What will you do?
- Ensure a safe and secure environment.
- Greet employees and guests with a smile and friendly attitude.
- Screen employees/guests/deliveries prior to entry.
- Log all activities performed during shift, as well as investigate and report security incidents.
- Write reports on all incidents occurring during the shift.
- Lock/unlock areas as requested.
- Monitor fire suppression system.
- Enforce CPKC Stadium and Current Landing policies and procedures to promote safety.
- Collaborate with event staff and security personnel to maintain a safe and organized environment.
- Respond promptly and effectively to security incidents or emergencies, following established protocols.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and guidelines to deliver a high standard of service and security.
- Provide concourse security on inside perimeter of stadium by monitoring and patrolling activity for the purpose of preventative inspections and proactive deterrence of criminal behavior.
- Provide outside perimeter security around the facility and Current Landing.
- Check credentials and tickets to ensure that only authorized personnel enter specific areas of the stadium and complex.
- Aid in controlling access to the Stadium including registering and directing visitors. Visually inspect the ID card of each person entering the building and verify that the individual and the cardholder are the same.
- Issue temporary access badges to authorized personnel as required by procedures.
- Espouse visitors and other personnel as required by procedures.
- Operate and monitor CCTV and access control systems where required.
- Complete required testing of security and fire systems-related equipment as required by security procedures.
- Provide field security for players and officials by monitoring activity on and around stadium field(s) and in the locker rooms. Must be able to work long hours, and flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Understand and properly use the radio, video management, access control, and alarm systems.
- Enforce physical security and access control procedures for stadium and Current Landing events.
- Complete security training that is required.
- Additional duties as assigned.
- Security experience within a sports or entertainment venue or in a related field such as corporate security or public safety
- Previous military or law enforcement experience preferred
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Post-secondary education or training preferred.
- Must be able to pass a background check and obtain a KCMO Private Police Commission License
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Willingness to learn
- Possess a professional attitude that is customer service oriented
- Effective writing, telephone, and verbal communication skills
- Good judgment and detail oriented
- Must have a valid state driver license
- Able to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations and handle challenging individuals.
- Able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on event schedules.
