Security Officer

Duties

• Conduct regular patrols of the hospital, clinic buildings, and campus to identify potential risks
• Auxiliary with escorting visitors to proper locations
• Auxiliary with patients arriving to the Emergency Department
• Monitor and operate surveillance equipment as well as round to ensure real-time awareness of situations or issues
• Respond to alarms, disturbances, and emergencies ensuring safety of individuals on campus
• Perform routine inspections of doors, windows, and immediate surroundings
• Check and complete equipment logs as required
• Prepare and maintain incident reports and daily logs that are factual and accurate – (No opinions)
• Auxiliary with safety protocols and emergency procedures to help ensure their safety
• Auxiliary in evacuations or other emergency actions when necessary
• Auxiliary in disinfecting the E.R waiting room and wheelchairs as time allows
• Auxiliary in helicopter pad setup, landings, escort and assist crew with patient transfers

Qualifications

• Previous experience in Security, Military, or Law enforcement preferred
• Exceptional attention to details
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Excellent verbal communication skills while interacting with others
• Excellent written communications for creating reports and reporting issues
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required
• Must complete IAHSS certification within the first year of employment
• Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
