Security Officer

About the role

Full-time position with evening shifts Monday through Friday from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM. Tuesday is a regular day off, and the role includes every other weekend.

Responsibilities

• Patrol hospital facilities and grounds to deter loss of property.
• Intercept unauthorized individuals and investigate unusual incidents.
• Examine doors, windows, and gates to ensure security.
• Inspect equipment and machinery for signs of tampering.
• Report all irregularities and security concerns.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent (GED).
• Ability to read and write English and perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Valid driver’s license.
• CPR certification on hire or within 60 days.
• 1–3 years of security or law enforcement experience preferred.
• For Mishawaka Campus: Good driving record verifiable with the DMV, with no more than 3 points within the last 12 months.
