About the role
Provides care, welfare, safety, and security for team members, patients, families, and visitors at Hannibal Regional Healthcare System.
Responsibilities
- Performs various environmental service duties and minor maintenance
- May be required to handle security situations involving patients, visitors, team members, and family members
- Stands and walks for prolonged periods of time
- Greet and serve visitors in a manner conducive to positive customer relations
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Prior Military, Law Enforcement, Public Service, or Security training preferred
- Ability to handle security situations involving patients, visitors, team members, and family members
- Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time
- Valid Class E drivers license in good standing
- Knowledge of Proper English, Spelling and Grammar
- Able to maintain cooperative working relationships with a diverse group
- Able to read and follow written and verbal instructions
- Able to use proper de-escalation techniques when dealing with potentially violent patients, family members, the public and/or team members
- Able to organize work and handle multiple projects/priorities
- Able to display an image of professionalism, self confidence, and self control
- Able to exercise independent judgment in emergency situations
Qualifications
- Current BLS certification and 1st Aid
