Security Officer
Job Overview
Required to assist in the provision of Security Services in an extremely busy hospital environment. The successful candidate will work within a team providing response to security incidents/alarm & fire calls throughout the site. Many response calls you will be required to attend can involve violent and/or aggressive scenarios. In addition, the role includes site patrols, handling of cash, dealing with and assisting the general public, traffic management across the site plus a range of additional duties.

Responsibilities
- Assist Trust management in the provision of effective / efficient Security Services using all equipment / resources available to the department
- Provide essential Fire and Rescue Team response to Helipad as required
- Work on a rotary shift basis
- Communicate well, have good writing skills and be able to work alone or as part of a team
- Handle cash, deal with and assist the general public, traffic management across the site plus a range of additional duties
Requirements
- Current Full manual UK driving licence
- Experience in customer service
- Portering / Security experience
- Previous firefighting experience
- Experience in other Security tasks such as the use of CCTV equipment, and has qualifications in the relevant areas
Qualifications
- NVQ or similar qualifications
