Security Officer

Job Overview

Fairview is hiring a Security Officer at our Fairview Lakes location in Wyoming, MN.

Responsibilities

• Patrols designated areas according to established procedures and documents patrols in daily shift reports.
• Documents daily activities in report writing system.
• Provides assistance to patients, visitors and staff.
• Responds to calls for services.
• Assists in the control (often physical) of potentially violent individuals which requires strength, stamina, flexibility and critical thinking.
• Works with potentially unpredictable individuals requiring that teamwork and communication with other security officers.
• Maintains knowledge of, and complies with, all relevant laws, regulations, policies, procedures and standards.
• Actively participates in creating and implementing improvements.

Requirements

• One of the following is required for hire:
• 2 years of security, military, or law enforcement experience
• Associate's degree in a related field and 1 year of security, military or law enforcement experience
• Bachelor's degree in a related field

Qualifications

• Licensure: Drivers License Valid Class D Driver’s License and DMV record which meets Fairview Insurability requirements for assignments that require the operation of a motor vehicle

Pay

Starting pay is $25.88 per hour and increases with experience, plus shift differentials and a comprehensive benefits package that includes tuition reimbursement, a 403(b), and annual merit increases.

Schedule

This is a 0.7 FTE evening/night-shift position (56 hours per pay period) with every other weekend rotation.
