Security Officer

JOB SUMMARY

American Horse Racing Track, Fair Grounds, seeks Security Officers to safeguard the property from vandalism, theft, and other illegal activities. Officers patrol the grounds or work at stationary positions, ensuring safety and enforcing protocols.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Safeguard company assets.
• Maintain security in the slot facility during shifts.
• Oversee guest and employee safety.
• Enforce company policies and procedures.
• Prepare accident and incident reports.
• Escort guests, coins, and cash.
• Escort company personnel into and out of secure areas.
• Collect and transport drop boxes to storage areas.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Age 21 or older.
• Ability to obtain a Gaming License from the Louisiana State Police.
• Valid Driver’s License.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Two years of experience preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS

• Constant motion, sit, hear, and eye/hand coordination.
• Frequently speak, read, write, stand, walk, bend, and stoop.
• Occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull up to 25 pounds.
• Office/Casino environment.
• Subject to outdoor temperature/climate conditions such as cold, rain, snow, or heat.
• Exposed to smoke, bright lights, and noise.
• Very non-demanding surroundings with a low noise level.
