About the Role

We are seeking a Full-Time Security Officer to work at our southern New Jersey properties, specifically in the Mays Landing area.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate access to client facilities for residents, guests, and deliveries.
• Identify and prevent illegitimate access to client facilities.
• Provide a secure internal and external environment through routine patrol activities.
• Monitor surveillance equipment or physically protect construction job sites.
• Inspect buildings, equipment, and access points.
• Provide immediate notification to supervisors of hazards, deficiencies, or security breaches.
• Prepare coherent and legible written reports and logs reflecting property conditions and activities.
• Maintain courteous, professional, helpful, respectful, and pleasant interactions with residents and guests.
• Communicate in an open, honest, and responsive manner in all situations.
• Provide information about the facilities and property to residents and guests.
• Carry out specific tasks and duties of a similar nature and scope as required for the assigned post.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent; prior security or law enforcement experience preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the facility and property.
• Ability to provide a high level of proficiency in security and customer service.
• Physically and mentally capable of intervening in stressful and demanding circumstances while maintaining composure.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Maintain a professional appearance, including adherence to dress code as required.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
