About the Job: As a Security Officer at DK Security, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of our clients' properties. Your duties will vary depending on the specific contract, offering a diverse and challenging work environment. This is a part-time, non-armed position; weapons are not permitted on the premises.

Responsibilities

• Customer Service: Be a positive reflection of the company and yourself by assisting client staff, visitors, and coworkers, and maintaining a positive and professional demeanor.
• Observe and Report: Stay alert and be on the lookout for any suspicious activities and incidents.
• Security Presence: Maintain a professional appearance and stand guard in and around building lobbies, reception areas, control centers, etc.
• Security Officer: Conduct foot and/or vehicle patrols of your assigned areas performing security officer duties as required.
• Access Control: Ensure unauthorized persons do not enter restricted areas, check employee and vendor IDs, and follow proper access procedures.
• Emergency Response: Be ready and able to assist in emergencies, including the administering of CPR/First Aid/AED care and communicating with emergency personnel using the proper protocols.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

This position is based in Logan, OH. Military veterans and people with security, firefighting, department of corrections, or law enforcement experience are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have at least a high school diploma or equivalent education certification, such as a GED
• Must be able to pass a drug screening at the time of hire and randomly thereafter (including for marijuana). Since our company contracts with the federal government, we must comply to federal laws regarding the use of marijuana, regardless of whether it is used recreationally or medicinally
