About the role
The Security Officer is responsible for positively impacting the safety and security of the company assets, including guests and Team Members, while maintaining guest satisfaction and supporting the casino's core values.
Responsibilities
- Attends daily briefings and meetings, arriving on time and participating positively.
- Ensures smooth operation of the Security Department by following prescribed policies and procedures, enforcing the Responsible Gaming Plan, and complying with Internal Control Procedures.
- Writes reports clearly and concisely, focusing on factual information without personal opinions.
- Responds to non-routine incidents, taking appropriate actions and making proper notifications.
- Performs currency transports according to casino procedures.
- Maintains a professional appearance.
- Communicates with other security personnel via two-way radios, using established "10-codes."
- Communicates quickly, fairly, and consistently with customers regarding complaints.
- Safeguards property assets.
- Responds to first aid situations to administer CPR.
- Adheres to all aspects of the Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Program and its regulations.
- Ensures the integrity of gambling, banking, count room, and cash handling procedures.
- Handles confidential information, reports, incidents, and materials responsibly.
- Shares information within the department to ensure efficient operations.
- Informs Security senior management team of necessary information for the casino's efficient operation.
- Delivers Old-World Hospitality and excitement, living the company's core values.
- Communicates in a gracious, kind, and warm manner that fosters fondness and professionalism.
- Performs other duties as assigned by department and company management.
Requirements
- Ability to walk and work on feet to complete assigned shifts.

- Ability to perform tasks requiring mobility in various work areas, including confined spaces.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Formal security or law enforcement training, schooling, or certification required; related on-the-job experience may be considered in lieu of formal training.
- Previous security, military, or civilian police officer training and/or experience required.
- Ability to read, analyze, interpret, and comprehend technical procedures, government regulations, instructions, and correspondence/memos.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff, guests, and the general public.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
