Security Officer

Work Hours

Rolling schedule: three days on, two days off, two days on, three days off, two days on, two days off. Day Shift: 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Night Shift: 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and security of persons and CEF property
• Respond to emergency and non-emergency situations or conditions and provide assistance or take actions appropriate to the situation within the legal limits of Campus Safety/Security authority
• Perform security surveillance of Culver Academies, including campus patrol by foot, bicycle, or vehicle
• Check and secure buildings
• Investigate reports of suspicious activities
• Strive towards a safe, crime-free campus environment

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED
• Must be at least 21 years old
• Must possess a valid Indiana driver's license with a good driving record
• Willing to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, weekends, and special events
• Emergency Medical training is not required for employment, but the applicant will be required to complete training as soon as possible
