Specific Duties and Responsibilities
- Screen and greet guests and employees entering the property and making sure that they are authorized to enter.
- Responsible for reports and enforcing all museum policies at all gates into and out of the museum.
- Patrol the property to make sure locations are secure and there are no individuals trespassing.
- Open and closing procedures for the building.
- Respond to calls for service.
- Escort guests/employees off property when applicable.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Law enforcement training or criminal justice classes preferred.
- A minimum of two years’ previous security experience is preferred.
- Must have or have ability to obtain a Metropolitan Security license.
- EMT license a plus.
- Knowledge of EVolv or other weapons detection system(s) a plus.
- Possess good oral and written English skills and be able to communicate with guests and other employees effectively.
- Available to work overtime.
- Available to work weekends and holidays.
