Security Officer

Primary Responsibilities

• Conduct scheduled foot patrols throughout the construction site and surrounding grounds
• Maintain a visible security presence to discourage theft, vandalism, and unauthorized entry
• Identify unsafe conditions and report hazards that could affect personnel or site operations
• Verify authorization before allowing visitors, vendors, contractors, and delivery personnel onto the property
• Monitor vehicle and pedestrian traffic entering and leaving the site
• Enforce established access control procedures and client security requirements
• Respond professionally to security incidents, disturbances, alarms, or suspicious activity
• Notify supervisors of significant events and coordinate with emergency responders when necessary
• Follow site-specific emergency procedures and company policies
• Help preserve a safe and orderly work environment during unexpected situations
• Completely required patrol documentation every 30 minutes throughout the shift
• Prepare clear and accurate incident reports and daily activity logs
• Record observations, security concerns, and actions taken using company reporting procedures
• Communicate important information during shift turnover

Required Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Valid driver's license required
• Ability to pass all required background screening
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail and situational awareness
• Ability to work independently while maintaining professionalism
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
