Security Officer

Primary Responsibilities

• Maintain a professional and visible security presence throughout assigned airport locations.
• Conduct routine patrols of public areas, terminal spaces, entrances, exits, and surrounding property.
• Observe daily operations and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, or security concerns.
• Help maintain a safe environment for passengers, employees, vendors, and authorized visitors.
• Respond appropriately to incidents while following airport, client, and company procedures.
• Notify supervisors or appropriate airport personnel of security-related concerns.
• Absorb affected areas until additional support arrives when necessary.
• Remain calm and exercise sound judgment during emergencies or unusual situations.

Customer Service & Communication

• Provide courteous assistance to passengers and visitors when appropriate.
• Maintain professional communication with airline personnel, airport management, and security partners.
• Support airport operations through positive interactions and clear communication.
• Represent Citadel Security USA with professionalism and integrity.

Safety & Incident Response

• Respond appropriately to incidents while following airport, client, and company procedures.
• Notify supervisors or appropriate airport personnel of security-related concerns.
• Absorb affected areas until additional support arrives when necessary.
• Remain calm and exercise sound judgment during emergencies or unusual situations.

Reporting & Documentation

• Complete accurate daily activity logs and incident reports.
• Document unusual events, operational concerns, and security observations promptly.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive operational information.
• Ensure reports are completed accurately and submitted in accordance with company standards.

Team Collaboration

• Work cooperatively with airport personnel, airline representatives, TSA teams, and fellow security officers.
• Follow post orders and site-specific operational procedures.
• Participate in required briefings and training activities.
• Support operational readiness during periods of increased passenger activity.

Minimum Qualifications

• Ability to successfully pass all airport-required background investigations and screening processes in accordance with airport, FAA, and TSA requirements.
• Reliable transportation to and from the airport.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal abilities.
• Professional appearance and dependable work ethic.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in airport security, aviation, customer service, hospitality, or security operations.
• Familiarity with incident reporting and operational documentation.
• Experience working in public-facing environments with high customer interaction.
• Strong observation skills and the ability to remain attentive in active surroundings.

Work Environment

• Airport terminal and operational support areas.
• Frequent interaction with passengers, airline employees, airport personnel, and authorized visitors.
• Combination of indoor assignments and occasional outdoor responsibilities.
• Extended periods of standing and walking throughout the shift.
• Fast-paced environment requires professionalism, situational awareness, and strong communication.
