Security Officer

Job Summary

To maintain the highest level of safety and security, you will patrol assigned areas, monitor electronic surveillance equipment, dispatch personnel, and respond to calls for assistance.

Responsibilities

• Diligently deterring, detecting, and investigating suspicious activity or crime.
• Effectively monitoring electronic surveillance equipment and hospital emergency systems.
• Dispatching appropriate personnel via radio.
• Patrolling to protect individuals and property.
• Responding to calls for assistance in a timely and prudent manner.
• Patrolling the facility and grounds by foot or vehicle.
• Monitoring security alarms and dispatching officers promptly to location(s) where needed.
• Reporting unsafe acts or conditions.
• Ensuring all activities are logged.
• Writing accurate and timely incident reports.
• Using appropriate emergency and radio codes in dispatching security officers.
• Knowing the hospital campus to ensure dispatches are to the correct location.

Requirements

• Required High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Six (6) months experience as security officer in a healthcare setting, or
• One (1) year experience as a security officer.
• Driver's License: NE, upon hire.
• Basic Life Support - CPR, within 90 Days.
