Security Officer
Job Summary
As our Security Officer, you will monitor buildings and grounds on the property to ensure the safety and security of employees, patients, and other visitors. Your responsibilities include:
- Monitor the property by walking and driving around the premises.
- Guard facility and unit access points.
- Monitor surveillance cameras.
- Test new security technology.
- Protect all employees/visitors against acts of violence.
- Respond to emergency codes in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
To be successful in this role, you’ll need the ability to remain calm and take action based on the situation, known facts, and understand the position limitations. You are also expected to respond to emergency codes in a timely manner. Previous experience in security/patrol in a healthcare setting is preferred.
- Protect staff, patients, and visitors by responding to calls for assistance in a timely and prudent manner.
- Patrol the facility and grounds by foot or vehicle.
- Monitor security alarms and dispatch officers promptly to location(s) where needed.
- Report unsafe acts or conditions.
- Ensure all activities are logged.
- Write incident reports accurately and submit them in a timely manner.
- Use appropriate emergency and radio codes in dispatching security officers.
- Ensure dispatches are to the correct location.
Required Job Requirements
- High School Graduate or equivalent and Six (6) months experience as security officer in a healthcare setting, upon hire or Six (6) months experience as security officer in a healthcare setting or One (1) year experience as a security officer.
- Driver’s License: NE, upon hire.
- Basic Life Support - CPR, within 90 Days.

Pay Range: $18.06 - $25.51 /hour
Additional Information: New Hire Sign on Bonus $1,500 and Shift Differential.
