Security Officer
Primary Function
Responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the Hospital staff, patients and visitors as well as ensuring the physical security of all Hospital buildings and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Interacts with visitors, patients and staff in a professional courteous manner. Observes and enforces all hospital policies, rules and regulations.
- Observes visitors and patients. Manages any unusual circumstances or difficulties. Maintains visitor control inside and outside of the hospital.
- Assists with Codes and Stats. Restrains patients when needed and monitors for future disturbances.
- Cleans routine door checks.
- Maintains logs and reports.
- Makes emergency deliveries or pick-up of medication, organs and blood.
- Provides vehicle transportation for patients, visitors and employees as required.
- Uses proper judgment and knowledge of established practices and procedures when addressing problems or issues.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications and Specifications
- High School or GED Preferred
- Minimum 6 Months to 1 Year of job-related experience, preferred.
- Valid drivers license required
