Security Officer

About the role

The Security Officer at Acreage CCF New Jersey, Egg Harbor Township is responsible for protecting company personnel, customers, and assets. This role involves monitoring and controlling access, patrolling facilities, investigating incidents, and ensuring a safe and secure environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintains access control at all building entrances.
• Maintains and operates alarm systems, video cameras, and detection equipment.
• Patrols assigned locations to detect and investigate issues or disturbances.
• Writes incident reports and documents suspicious activities.
• Monitors and ensures compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Aids customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of experience in security or a related field.
• Active SORA-security officer license (NJ).
• Valid state-issued driver's license.
• Certification in CPR, First Aid, and AED use.
• Previous military or law enforcement experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with surveillance monitoring systems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid state-issued Driver’s License.
• Must be able to stand for up to eight hours, walk patrols, and monitor security inside the dispensary.
• May involve moving up to 50 lbs over short distances to assist with lobby setup and line control.
• May require standing, walking, bending, reaching for extended periods, performing repetitive hand movements, and working in a humid, pollinated environment.

Skills

• Education and Experience: Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: At least 5 years of experience in security or a related field.
• License: Active SORA-security officer license (NJ).
• Other Certifications: CPR, First Aid, and AED use certification.
• Technology: Previous experience with surveillance monitoring systems.
• Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Physical Abilities: Ability to stand for up to eight hours, walk patrols, and monitor security inside the dispensary.
