SECURITY OFFICER
About the role
Maintains unit-specific and hospital competencies, mandatory learning, and any clinical certifications required in accordance with the Staff Education and Training policy GA-057 and/or any other department requirements.
Completes and maintains CPR certification within 30 days of employment.
Satisfactorily completes the “Safe Patient Handling” course provided by CHS within 3 months of employment.
Satisfactorily completes CPI Non-violent Crisis Intervention certification within 3 months of employment.
IAHSS Basic Security Officer Certification course within 3 months of employment.
FEMA IS-100 and FEMA-200 completed within 6 months of employment.
Completes department orientation within 3 months of employment.
Demonstrates ability to effectively respond to emergencies via successful completion of mandatory bi-annual physical fitness tests (PFT).
Responsibilities
Maintains a safe and secure environment for patients, hospital personnel, visitors and property from careless, negligent or malicious acts, safety hazards, and fire.
Requirements
Education: High school diploma or GED.
Registration/Certification/Licensure: Unexpired, unsuspended driver’s license if incumbent will be required to drive as part of their routine job duties.
Qualifications
Experience: 0-6 months related experience.
