Security Officer

Responsibilities

• Maintain security protection on property, including money transactions, customer service, and performing command center/dispatch functions
• Check ID's and ensure all guests are at least 21 years of age to enter the casino
• Observe and report disruptive or intoxicated people
• Respond to security concerns in a prompt and efficient manner
• Provide medical attention in emergency situations to guests
• Provides assistance and service to guests and Team Members
• Effectively communicate over dispatch radio
• Routinely patrol assigned areas while providing guest assistance, being alert for suspicious circumstances or individuals, gaming violations, possible theft, safety hazards or related concerns, medical emergencies, or damage to properties
• Maintain an upbeat and positive demeanor in all interactions as well as maintaining composure in handling difficult interactions
• Comply with company regulations, policies, and procedures
• Act as a role model to other employees and always presents oneself as a credit to the Company and encourages others to do the same
• Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Must be 19 years of age or older
• Must be able to speak, read, and write the English language
• Must be able to obtain and retain a Nebraska Gaming License
• Must have HS Diploma or GED
• Must have strong communication skills
• Must present a well-groomed appearance
• Must possess a valid Driver’s License with fewer than three moving violations (and no major violations such as DUI) in the past 36 months
• Must be able to respond calmly and make rational decisions in stressful situations with co-workers, guests and vendors
• Must be able to compose clear, accurate, and concise reports
• Must be able to listen and respond to visual and aural cues
• Must be flexible to work various shifts to include days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to push and pull up to 50 pounds
• Ability to be CPR Certified
• Able to lift and carry objects up to 30 pounds
• Able to run to respond to emergencies including up and down stairs
• Able to bend, stoop, twist, reach, and kneel repetitively
• Must be able to work from a standing position and/or walking motion for extended period
• Must have manual dexterity to operate a computer and other necessary office equipment
• Must be able to simultaneously manage several projects
• Must be able to work in an environment subject to variable temperatures, bright flashing lights, and loud noise
