Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Patrolling the university campus by foot, golf cart, or in a patrol unit.
- Patrol walkways, parking lots, and buildings.
- Respond to reports of incidents, such as suspicious activity or security violations.
- Operate security equipment, such as alarms and control panels, to monitor the area.
- Enforce campus rules and regulations, such as parking, smoking, and alcohol and drug use.
- Issue parking violation warnings, citations and tags, and request towing.
- Direct traffic and parking during special events.
- Act as a liaison between the university and local law enforcement.
- Perform custodial and maintenance duties.
- Provide information and directions.
- Maintain records.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2 years in Law Enforcement or Security experience preferred.
- Post-Certified highly preferred.

Pay
Hourly, Non-Exempt
Schedule
40 hours/week. Generally, Saturday/Sunday 7pm to 7am and Monday/Friday 11pm to 7 am. Hours may be extended to meet the needs of the department.

- Physical demands include extensive walking.
- Frequent lifting up to 30 lbs.
- Occasional lifting up to 100 lbs.
- Frequent carrying heavy weighted materials up to 30 lbs.
- Occasional carrying up to 100 lbs.
- Pushing/pulling up to 100 lbs.
- Occasional sitting, standing, walking, bending, turning, twisting, kneeling, squatting, crawling, climbing, reaching, grasping, etc.
- Able to work in inclement and extreme weather conditions.
- Able to operate and drive a motor vehicle.
