Security Officer

About the Role
We work as a team, and you may be asked to help in other roles or tasks. It is expected that you are willing to assist.
Responsibilities
- Patrol community grounds, including parking lots, common areas, and HOA/Club facilities (on foot or by cart), to ensure the safety of residents, guests, and staff
- Monitor entrances and exits, authorizing access as appropriate to maintain a secure environment
- Greet and assist members and guests with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Enforce community rules, policies, regulations, and ordinances in a fair and consistent manner
- Respond to complaints, disturbances, or safety concerns and conduct initial investigations as needed
- Identify and report potential safety hazards or suspicious activity
- Communicate clearly and effectively using both written and verbal methods in security and customer service interactions
- Maintain ongoing communication with the HOA Community Manager regarding incidents, resident concerns, and community updates
- Prepare detailed, accurate reports on security incidents and daily activities
- Maintain organized security logs, files, and records
- Take messages and relay important information to appropriate personnel
- Explain and clarify rules and procedures to residents, guests, and staff as needed
- Collaborate with management and emergency services when incidents require escalation
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall safety and satisfaction of the community
Requirements
- Prior experience in high-end golf/country club or hospitality industry is a plus
- Prior experience in security, law enforcement, or a customer-facing role preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to interact respectfully and effectively with residents, guests, and staff
- Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure
- Must be observant, proactive, and detail-oriented
- Basic report writing and computer skills required
- Ability to work independently and follow established procedures
- Must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times
- Ability to walk or patrol for extended periods, including outdoor areas and varied terrain
- Valid driver’s license required; ability to operate a golf cart or company vehicle
- High School diploma, GED certificate, or relevant work experience
- Must possess a valid Texas Driver’s License and meet the driver safety policy requirements
- Must hold an active Texas Level II Security Guard License

Physical Demands and Work Environment
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Our property sits on 767 acres and features many indoor and outdoor facilities. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand and move around for the entirety or majority of their shift. The employee may be working outside or inside and in different types of weather including excessive heat, cold temperatures, rain, and sunshine. The employee is also regularly required to push, pull, bend, lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. This role will likely require the ability to drive a golf cart to transport from one area of the property to another in a safe and secure manner.
Schedule
Weekdays, weekends, and holidays. Schedule is flexible as business dictates.

Soliciting gratuities from members or guests is strictly prohibited and may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment. Gratuities include items such as cash, favors, gifts, tickets to events, and other forms of non-financial compensation.
