Security Officer

Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible and professional presence while on post or conducting patrols
• Demonstrate knowledge of assigned property and effectively engage with residents, guests, and employees
• Protect company assets and preserve the confidentiality of proprietary information
• Promote a respectful and collaborative team environment
• Respond to complaints and emergency situations in a calm and professional manner
• Handle accidents and emergencies, including contacting EMS, providing First Aid/CPR when necessary, and completing incident reports
• Operate motor vehicles as required for patrol or job duties
• Communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing
• Answer telephones using proper etiquette
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors

Qualifications

• A minimum of two years of security experience; prior experience in the hospitality industry is preferred
• For driving positions: A valid Driver’s License and at least one year of driving experience
• A clean driving record
• CPR/First Aid/AED Certification is preferred
• Strong communication skills and sound judgment
• Ability to maintain professionalism in all situations
• Physical ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
• Flexibility to work any shift as required
• Compliance with state/local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
• Occasionally lift or carry up to 40 pounds
• Ability to climb stairs, ramps, or ladders as required
• Ability to walk and stand on various surfaces for prolonged period
