Responsibilities
- Must have knowledge of all cards and dice procedures.
- Responsible for escort duties.
- Will handle table fills, credits and markers.
- Required to patrol the casino property and be alert of all happenings.
- Must keep daily logs accurately and efficiently.
- Exhibit a friendly disposition with all guests.
- Smile and greet every guest as they arrive on the property and/or enter the casino.
- Welcome the guest back to the casino, after the guest has departed and returned.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Competencies
- Must possess high school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must be able to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.
- Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
- Must be able to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
- Must be able to perform regularly required duties of this job, stand, walk, and talk or hear.
- Frequently required to reach with hands and arms to use hands to handle or feel.
- Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Occasional sitting.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and color vision.
Work Environment
- Frequent exposure to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, outside weather conditions, extreme cold, and extreme heat.
- Necessary to remain alert and focused while listening to the normal noise of the casino such as the noise from the slot machines and the music playing throughout the casino.
- Must be able to withstand a smoking environment.
