Responsibilities

• Proactively safeguard the hospital environment through vigilant monitoring and rapid response to ensure the continuous safety of patients, visitors, and medical staff.
• Lead incident investigations and document safety hazards with precision, providing the critical data needed to mitigate future risks and maintain high care standards.
• Empower the healthcare team by facilitating emergency drills and providing hands-on training, ensuring every staff member feels confident and prepared for any situation.
• Serve as a visible safety ambassador by patrolling campus grounds and managing traffic flow to create a welcoming, secure, and accessible environment for everyone.
• Maintain operational readiness by identifying equipment malfunctions and mastering emergency protocols, ensuring our safety systems never fail when they are needed most.

Requirements

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
• Driver’s License credentialed from the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• BLS Provider preferred (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted).
• Security Guard certification preferred.
• Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
