Security Officer
About the role
Proactively monitor and conduct high-visibility patrols to deter, detect, and respond to potential security threats on the Ascension Saint Agnes Hospital campus. Manage incident investigations, document hazardous conditions, and handle physical altercations. Respond to visitor and staff inquiries to maintain a culture of safety and service excellence.
Responsibilities
- Conduct continuous surveillance and patrols (foot and vehicle)
- Investigate and document security breaches, hazardous conditions, and physical altercations
- Respond to emergencies and disasters according to established plans
- Serve as a primary point of contact for visitors and staff
Requirements
- Licensed driver from Maryland Department of Motor Vehicles within 12 months of hire date or job transfer date
- Security guard license from Maryland State Police Licensing Division within 3 months of hire date or job transfer date
- BLS Provider preferred
- Management of Aggressive Behavior credential from Management of Aggressive Behavior Training International, Inc. preferred
- Security Professional credential from International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety (IAHSS) preferred
Qualifications
- High school diploma equivalency or 1 year of relevant work experience
Skills
- Knowledge of emergency codes and alarm systems
- Ability to manage aggressive behavior
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills

$21.70- $29.37 per hour
